1. Controller
Staymaker is operated by Emil Dellert under the business name Staymaker. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you visit staymaker.app, contact us, join our waitlist, or use the Staymaker service.
2. Data We Collect
Depending on how you interact with Staymaker, we may process the following data:
- Account details: your name, email address, and optionally a phone number.
- Photos: images you upload for cleanings, tasks, and chat.
- Chat messages: private messages exchanged between hosts and cleaners.
- Property and booking data: property information, bookings, tasks, team members, and connected calendar feed data.
- Purchase history: your plan and subscription status, plus limited billing details we receive from the payment channel, such as amount, currency, and renewal or cancellation status.
- Account identifier: a user identifier we use to run your account.
- Crash and performance diagnostics: technical diagnostics that help us keep the app stable and fast.
- Support and report content: the messages and reports you send us through our contact, waitlist, feature-request, support, or in-app report tools.
- Website usage and device data: technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages viewed, used to secure and operate the website.
- Cookies and website analytics: essential storage required to run the website, plus privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) that measures aggregated website usage only, without cookies, without storing or accessing information on your device, and without persistent identifiers or tracking across websites.
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, show ads, or use an advertising identifier.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use personal data to:
- Provide and secure the website, app, and related services
- Respond to inquiries, support requests, and product feedback
- Manage waitlist signups and launch communications you requested
- Activate, manage, and support subscriptions or purchases
- Improve reliability, performance, and user experience
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations
4. Service Providers and Data Processors
We work with a small number of trusted service providers (data processors) to run Staymaker. Each one receives only the data it needs for its specific role.
- Supabase: our backend. It hosts the account database, authentication, uploaded files, and the server functions that power the app.
- Sentry: crash and performance diagnostics. It runs in the EU region, and personal data is scrubbed from diagnostic reports.
- Resend: email delivery. It sends sign-in and account emails, notifications, and support and report messages.
- RevenueCat: subscription management and validation of purchase receipts.
- Paddle: web payments. It acts as seller of record (Merchant of Record) for purchases made through the web app.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store in-app purchases, and push notifications.
- Google: Google Sign-In.
The relevant billing provider (Paddle or Apple) processes your payment and billing data under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not store full payment card details ourselves.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share data with carefully selected service providers only where needed to operate Staymaker, for example for hosting, infrastructure, email delivery, customer communication, cookie-free website analytics, fraud prevention, and payment or app-store integrations. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights and users.
For waitlist signups, we also record your contact details in Google Workspace (Google LLC). This may involve a transfer to the United States under appropriate safeguards.
6. Legal Bases
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent, for example for launch updates you request
- Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps for accounts, purchases, and support
- Compliance with legal obligations, such as accounting and tax retention duties
- Legitimate interests, such as security, fraud prevention, cookie-free website analytics, and service improvement
7. Retention and Security
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law. We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
8. International Transfers
Some service providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
9. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction, restriction, or deletion of your data
- Object to certain processing or request data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority
If you have an account, you can delete it at any time from within the app. If you no longer have access to your account, you can request erasure of your personal data by emailing info@staymaker.app.
